(All Alternatives)

Dog Emblem T-Shirt –  Rebels Market/Etsy (Mostly Pugs)

Long shirt/Overcoat – ASOS1/ASOS2

Under the Knee Socks – Boohoo1/Boohoo2

Flatforms – Ebay

I tried to get alternatives as close to the original items as I could but it was pretty difficult considering all that this style savvy girl had on was from Buenos Aires. I loved midnight blue overcoat and really hope I come across something similar to it soon, it would be perfect to layer with… although I really should cut back on the layering with it being summer and all that. I found the under the knee socks interesting seeing as they’re normally worn over the knee by most people but I think it accommodates one’s height and looks pretty fetch either way. (Yes. Fetch is a thing!)

The t-shirt, to me, was reminiscent of a much tamer version of Givenchy’s bulldog emblem and I dug the vibe the outfit as a whole gave off. Pretty groovy, pretty different. And that my loves, is what I aim to showcase on this blog – although I did start to forget the point of it recently but ayyy, I’m back now.

Also Portugal got knocked out in the group stages although we did win our last game (thank God for little mercies)! However my team Germany is still in it to win it which it probably will. My bets between Germany and Netherlands although it would be nice to see Brazil win. I think it would be really uplifting for its population and the economic crisis they’re in. Part of me (most of me) does disapprove of the brazilian government for bypassing the needs of its citizens in favour of hosting the World Cup but sigh… this is just the way in which the world works.

Sorry for getting so downcast towards the end of that, hope you all have a great week ahead!

My inspiration for this piece was slightly neo-gothic chick meets mean mosher model.

It’s November so I tailored the set with the cold front in mind (Have I mentioned how much I hate the cold?). The sweater is on my  wishlist, maybe more so because the phrasing on it is slightly anecdotal than it just being really cute. It took me quite some time to find a pair of shoes that appealed to me for this look and I have to say these ones earned the attention. How amazing are they! The exaggerated flatfrom heel, the sleek shine of the boots, what else could they be but Jeffrey Campbell’s?

I kept the jewellery simple (for once) the chunky silver link necklace and the belt looked like they belonged together so pairing them with this outfit wasn’t that much of a genius move. Perhaps I  subconsciously downplayed the jewellery so I could splurge on the beauty aspect, don’t you just love that gray shade of lipstick? I know I do 🙂

Now I adore tartan prints so when I saw the satchel (I’ve been looking for the perfect one for a few good months) I knew it had to be included in the set, ditto for the skirt. The asymmetrical hemline has been popular for skirts lately and as much as I do like them, they kind of remind me of skorts (you know the transgendered product of a skirt and short.) I did like this skirt a lot though but it looks a bit plain on its own so the belt was a necessity in its case. Tartan textiles have always been a favorite of mine and for some reason remind me of one of my most loved designers, the late Alexander McQueen.

Gone but never forgotten. R.I.P.

Oh and I have another exciting piece of news! I went to Pakistan Fashion Week on Saturday the 2nd of November and have whipped up a little article as well as a whole lot of photos which will be up by this weekend. Some of the outfits really took my breath away. It was truly an incredible evening!

Hope everyone has a good week and looks forward to the next post *fingers crossed*

Stopped this girl as soon as she stepped out of the Oxford Circus train station yesterday as her style immediately drew my attention. The Givenchy sweatshirt is a person favourite for me as I’ve been crazy about them as soon as I saw that they were Renaissance inspired! The Renaissance era is one I would have loved to have been born in and so I try to immerse myself in the art and culture of that time period whenever I have the opportunity to. Unfortunately my bank account doesn’t always allow me to do so. As my father says, it would take me up to five years to save up for a Givenchy Sweatshirt on my own BUT there is a reason as to why I’m his favourite daughter 😉
