Cake – Cafe Lisboa
So last week was my first visit to Portobello Road and I’ve got to say, I’m in love with the vibe and eclectic feel of the area. It feels authentic enough in my experience without crossing into the commercial (sorry Camden market, thinking of you when I say this) and I honestly can’t wait to visit again!
The vintage stores + the food got me feeling all types of ways – as you can see from the picture I have with the cake from Cafe Lisboa (why has no one ever taken me there before?!) I may have to pause for a minute here just to write an ode to that cafe. It made me reminisce about cafe’s in Portugal, well it is part of the Sical franchise so I guess that it makes sense to but I wasn’t expecting the cake to actually taste like Portuguese cake!
For those of you that don’t know, Portuguese pastries are honestly some of the most delicious kind around, there’s just something about the cream and custard they use that is unlike any other and the cake I had tasted 100% like it was made in Lisbon’s Pasteleira de Belem. It was honestly a magical moment for me.
But focusing on what I wore for my visit (I actually had two outfits for the day). I had on my comfortable pair of BDG mom jeans, that actually didn’t fit me up till the start of this year and a beautiful soft denim bardot top from Miss Selfridge. I felt happy and lighthearted in that outfit and being that comfortable made me feel super carefree and really did make my overall experience of the market even better. I guess my outfit and Portobello Road had real synergy haha
I actually got my ring from the market at this cute little stall near where all the main food stalls were and although I didn’t want to spend any money on the day (I’m pretty broke) I had to get it once I had tried it on. The woman who makes them also told me the stone was a moonstone and I was sold after that. Asides from being one of my favourite stones, I just have a really impulsive personality trait wherein if something feels right to me, I’ve got to have it. Not always a good thing but I don’t regret getting my ring! The choker I got off Ebay and it was sooo cheap, I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be so pretty or well made (thought it would be pretty flimsy and cheap looking truth be told)
There will be another outfit post and even a little look video that my friends and I had a lot of fun playing around with. The first I’ve ever made so I’m a little nervous about posting it up but let me know what y’all think andddd what your experiences of the market have been like too!
Or if you haven’t experienced it yet, please go and do!
It’s honestly incredible (and you never know what you’ll find until you look) xx

This couple pretty much made my day and I may have, mayyy have (maybe have) followed up after first seeing them in order to take this picture for ModainLondres (I pretty much stalked them why lie). They just corresponded so well with one other both in terms of appearance and style. I love how smart casual the girl was dressed whereas her boyfriend was just exceedingly casual. They were such a good looking couple too! I think the man might have been French which makes him even more so attractive. Those damn French accents ugh.
So I haven’t been blogging regularly as some of you might have noticed but I do have my reasons, the main being exams which have thus led to all my energy being spent on revision leaving me quite lethargic at the end of the day. Only a few more weeks to go and then I’ll be back and better for it since it will be summer. Finally.
Hope y’all have a great weekend and coming week and to anyone else facing finals, Good Luck!

Bonjour mon petit fleurs,
I thought I’d be all charming and French for my first post in over 10 days(!) I admit that I have been quite bad but hopefully this look makes up for it ❤
I’m not quite sure how it worked out as well as it did but pictures don’t quite do this ensemble any justice. I got the blouse off the brilliant (and quite beautifully) priced Chinese retailer site AliExpress a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it as soon as I saw just how much better it looked in reality than in the pictures on the site. I’ve been going through a monochrome phase which more or less started when I had a day trip out to Birmingham with a couple of close friends, so this outfit is one of the few I’ve put together over the last week.
The kaftan which I’ve been using as a drape over on top of my bedtime cami slips (don’t judge me! I just like to look good for myself rather than only doll myself up when in the company of a man – scandalous eh?), worked well over the shirt and being of a sheer material didn’t overshadow the blouse letting the two tone panelled detailing shine through. It gave me a really refined feel, like I was a divine priestess or something of that calibre. The skinnies were a necessity – of course, when are they not? And the chunky camden boots are my babies forever and ever. I hope they never wear out!
I didn’t really know what to do with my hair so just put it into a bun and attached the flower pin on to encapsulate that 70’s hippie vibe – Lover of nature? That I am xo
P.S Did anyone else notice the OVO decal on the store front? For those that are interested in Drake merchandise – the store behind me stocks it! It’s called Browns Focus and is on the street directly behind the one that houses Bond Street station.
Hope y’all like the fusion of elements in this look, be sure to let me know what you think 🙂

I don’t really know how I put this look together (I’m in a bit of a sleep deprived haze at the moment – 27 hours and counting) but I think it started off with me finding the floral playsuit. I’ve had it for years and never really worn it but felt that I should and then I started questioning why playsuits/jumpsuits disappeared around the winter time. The answer is obvious enough but I sought out a solution and thus coupled it with the shirt. which I thought worked quite well. Then I added the accessories (not even going to mention the leggings because in this weather, they’re basically a necessity – unless you’re one of the brave ones). I won the geek glasses off an Ebay bidding war (told you guys I was starting to get addicted to them!) and I do adore them. Although my mother did tell me straight off that I looked like Ugly Betty as soon as she saw them on me. Harsh eh?
I just threw on the hat as an afterthought but thought it worked well too and then added my faux fur lover to the mix for some vintage glam. The boots were added to the ensemble because well, they’re gorgeous and super comfortable and I honestly cannot bare to part with them!
I’m not a fan of these pictures (you can see how much my eyes are crying out for sweet rest) but wanted to share the OOTD with you all 🙂
Hope everyone hasn’t had as terrible a case of Monday Blues as I have xo

First off, how striking is this woman? I love the colour of her hair so much, the platinum blonde sheen instantly reminded me of Khaleesi from Game of Thrones (I’ve recently started watching the series and it’s safe to say I am completely hooked!)
Most of the pieces she was wearing were vintage and so finding close enough alternatives for some of them was pretty hard but I did my best. Recently I’ve been on Ebay a lot (losing at bidding wars mostly) and have noticed how much great stuff there is on it – especially vintage clothing sold abroad from America! (Fingers crossed I win on my most recent bidding war for an amazing pair of printed palazzo pants from the late 70’s!)
Also I thought I’d share a look that I styled recently for a concert with you all 🙂

Wet look faux leather leggings – Ebay
Clare Lace Up Boots (my faves!) – BANK Fashion (Out of Stock)
This look was 100% inspired by Abel Tesfaye’s music (The Weeknd<3). I put it together in the hope of standing out from the rest of the crowd and maybe catching his eye when he peered out at the masses of fans at the O2 Arena the Tuesday before last. I’m pretty sure the only reason I failed to do so was because the guy closest to the barriers I was behind was too tall and blocked me from view half of the time. But I’m sure that he did see me and we shared a few smiles and wonderful moments, that Tuesday I also realised I was more of an avid fan girl that I originally thought (oops)
I did love my whole outfit though, it was edgier that most of what I usually wear and I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly confident and hood worthy in it all. That day I felt that I had undeniable (dare I say it? Yes I do) ‘swag’.
Hope everyone has a good week

Abe Sweatshirt – Forever 21
Black contrast leggings with ribbed panel – River Island
Fringe side bag – Jane Norman – Similar found Here and Here
Clare Lace Up Boots – BANK Fashion
My sister bought this amazing sweatshirt during the weekend and hasn’t seen it since… I may be to blame for that. I saw it peeking out of the corner of the Forever 21 carrier bag on Saturday evening and just haven’t been able to let it go. I guess I’ve got too much love for my homie Abe here. I’ve been looking for a statement sweatshirt for quite some time now and I think finding this one – albeit in my sisters clutches, is nothing short of a miracle! It’s so nice and warm as well as just being really cool. I teamed it with the contrast leggings and Clare boots to give off a really relaxing and chill vibe and the vintage scarf just added the allure of a 1970’s hippie-delic love child. The look was set up around the sweatshirt and using it as inspiration I decided to create an ensemble that existed between the 1970’s-80’s so with the inclusion of a few accessories (tasselled fringe bag and wooden necklace I got in Kenya) + incredibly messy hair the end result looked like a early 80’s grunge skater kid who see’s the world through rose tinted glasses (hippie influenced in other terms) but still has an edge.
I’d love to hear your opinions on the look 🙂

Black Suede Heels – NewLook
I’ve always had a thing for bow ties. At first my attention pivoted towards the men that wore them, in year 12 I had the biggest crush on this guy for no reason other than the fact that he wore one and he wore it well. Now, however my interest in them has spiked even more so because I realised two things; 1) They are not a male only accessory and 2) Because I feel confident enough to wear them.
The oversized white shirt is a basic need and I urge all women to get one (this one in particular if you can before it runs out of stock!) I had a very different concept in mind when I bought the leather leggings; they were mainly to be paired with baggy sweatshirts and heeled boots but I couldn’t help and try to pair it with the white shirt because as simple as the two items are on their own, together they look, well… really nice. The heels I’m wearing are from New Look and God almighty must have created them because they are literally the most comfortable pair I have ever owned! I’ve worn these for ten hour shifts at a time and still no blisters and no complaints at all!
The overall look is quite simple and yet it’s classy enough to be worn out, a bit of a gender bender with the outfit being very male oriented -albeit not the leggings so much and the latter do help to bring a more feminine touch to the ensemble.
The bow tie is as you may have guessed by now, my favourite part of the outfit and was the statement accessory that tied the entire ensemble together.
Have a great weekend everyone!
