Shirt – Hobbs
Trousers – Zalando, Zara and Asos (Original were from a charity shop)
Coat – Zara
Similar Brogue shoes – Newlook
I was waiting outside the Topshop in Oxford Circus for a friend and noticed this girl and her great style. Sometimes the outfits that people wear look to have been thrown together by mistake as though that person had just woken up and picked what to wear with their eyes still glued shut as they reminisced about their dreams. This ensemble was definitely not from that criteria.
Seeing the lapelled coat and silk printed shirt paired with the skin tight white trousers and tan brogue shoes literally brought a smile to my face. I especially liked that her Mint green headphones (Amazon) corresponded with her outfit. Only the truly fashion savvy are able to tweak their accessories to flow with their garb.
She was also really sweet and even complimented me on the necklace I had been wearing. The surprise that registers on people’s faces when I ask to photograph them for this blog really does make my day because I know that it, in a way, makes theirs 🙂
Hope everyone has a lovely week! Bjs **
When I asked this woman where she got her apparel from she told me it was all from China, so all the links provided will be alternatives that either look the same or are similar!
White shirt – Ebay
Black faux fur gilet – Ebay (Just £20 + about £4 extra for postage. SO much cheaper than the ones from Asos or Topshop!)
High waisted leather shorts – NEWLOOK
Boots – Asos
Loved everything about this look especially the faux fur and leather combination.
I would definitely wear the outfit myself but perhaps with more accessories like a large flowery headpiece. I’ve been really into them lately (absolutely adore them).
Will DEFINITELY be getting the fur gilet for myself.
I think everyone should have one to be honest. I mean, it’s cosy, it’s warm, it’s fashionable and it ships worldwide!
Substitute inner floral print shirt – Zara
Dress – Urban Outfitters
I also found this dress in River Island which pretty much gives the same effect of layering the two articles of clothing mentioned above 🙂
Alternative Parka – Asos or if you want to magnify on the floral print there’s always Bershka
Socks – Topshop
Shoes – Dr Martens
Denim shirt – UNIQLO
Trousers – Topman
Jacket – Asos
Shoes – Office
Loved this couples style!
From their perfectly coiffed hair to their very well clad feet.
Their individual style complemented each others perfectly ☺
Inner white t-shirt – Asos
Green cardigan – Selected Femme
Floral patterned shorts – The shorts she’s wearing are also from the Danish brand Selected Femme, the site doesn’t currently stock them but there are always substitutes!
These shorts are also from Selected Femme however there are plenty of flowery printed alternatives such as Missguided 1 and Missguided 2
Substitute shoes (Originals were from Topshop) – New Look 1 , New Look 2 and River Island
Her necklace and bag are currently sold out on the Pieces website but there are plenty of other wonderful bags and necklaces on the site that are worth giving a look!
This woman was truly my saviour of the day. I had almost given up hope on finding anyone to photograph and had a momentary bout of panic. So I sought refuge in a Catholic church on Liverpool street, this may strike some as funny as I’m neither Catholic nor a Christian but it’s my belief that any house of worship can serve as a medium to God in times of need.
Although after a good seven minutes or so, the eery silence got to be a bit too eerie for me and I had to leave but it did help to relax my mind. A couple of minutes later I happened to come across her (Miraculous eh?)
She works for the Danish retailer/designer Selected Femme and so all the clothes worn by her in the picture above are part of their collection. The prices may shock you at first as they did me but I relaxed after I figured out how to convert the Danish Krone to Sterling. (Maths came in handy after all)
There’s some really cool apparel and accessories on the Selected Femme Site!
So make sure to check it out, I’m quite glad I discovered them today myself 🙂
